Kaleidoscope Broadcasts over TV 2

Kaleidoscope is a program of and about the religious communities of WNY produced with the Canisius College Video Institute

This program contains two (2) segments. Segment 1. Lent is a season of the Christian Year where Christians focus on simple living, prayer and fasting. It begins on Ash Wednesday and ends six weeks later, before Easter Sunday

Dr. Stan Bratton talks with Rev. Lee Miller, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church about the meaning and commemoration of Lent and the upcoming Joint Roman Catholic and Lutheran Vesper Service commemorating the 500th Anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation.

Segment 2 Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people, in the ancient Persian Empire, from destruction in the wake of a plot by Prime Minister Haman. It is a story recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther.
